Labouchere Roulette System

The Labouchere roulette systemAbout Labouchere Roulette System strategy

This roulette system was invented in the 19th century and has been successfully applied to other casino games. You don’t need to be very good with numbers to apply this strategy, although this is not the most straightforward roulette system out there. What makes Labouchere Roulette System special is the fact that players are allowed to tinker a bit with it and there is no predetermined pattern that has to be followed religiously. Also known as the split Martingale, the strategy implies some steps in terms of wagering, but gives players a lot of freedom in choosing the numbers and the size of the bets.

How it works?

Players should begin with writing down a string of numbers that has a total close to the winning amount regarded as optimal. This means that depending on how high the expectations are, the sequence can be made of smaller or bigger numbers and the player decides how high the risks will be. Once the numbers are decided, players sum up the last and first in the string and place a wager equal to that amount. In case he wins, one is expected to cross those two numbers of the list and then repeat the procedure with the next two numbers.

This operation is repeated over and over again, until there are no numbers left in the sequence and another string of numbers is created. In case of a losing bet, players don’t scratch off the numbers and simply add the sum of the two numbers at the end of the sequence. This means that the next bet will consist of the first number in the string and the recently added one and if the ball lands on the desired number the losses are recuperated.

Does it worth something?

The good thing about the Labouchere Roulette System is that players can take lower or higher risks and these are reflected in the length of the string and the size of the numbers that are included. Those who are trying to keep the losses minimal and would settle for lower amounts during winning streaks, can add many small numbers and even repeat the lowest ones such as 1,2,3.

On the downside, it is very easy for the losses to spin out of control and if you are lucky or greedy and select slightly bigger numbers, the losses can mount. Like traditional martingale, the Labouchere Roulette System guarantees the fact that when you eventually win, you get back all the money invested plus a small profit. The problem is that many players won’t get that far.
